Irma van Osch \u2013 illustrator<\/p>\n

People play an important role in my work. What I enjoy most is giving shape to experiential worlds on paper. I focus primarily on facial expressions. I subtly convey the feeling of the text through facial expressions and sometimes through body postures as well.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

I work for (professional) journals and publishers, among others. Texts about people and their lived experiences appeal to me greatly. Think of subjects such as psychology, philosophy, culture, parenting, care, poetry, and literature.<\/p>\n

The illustrations I create appear light but also have depth. They are illustrations that make a text more appealing, complement it, and clarify it. Subconsciously, they prompt reflection on the text. They are images that touch you and that you want to keep looking at.<\/p>\n

My work is recognizable by its soft lines (but is not overly sweet). I work with detail and use many shades of gray complemented by color. In doing so, I find it important that my illustrations convey the right atmosphere.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n
